Overture Places
Business records come from Overture Maps Foundation's Places theme and the contributing datasets named on each record. Source fields may be incomplete or outdated. Overture's Places guide explicitly notes low property completeness. A missing website URL means “not listed in this catalog,” not “the business has no website.” LeadLegWork filters, normalizes and ranks these records; scores are our heuristic, not a source-provided recommendation.
Meta, Microsoft, PinMeTo, Krick, RenderSEO, DAC and BrightQuery data are available under CDLA Permissive 2.0. Foursquare data: Copyright 2024 Foursquare Labs, Inc. All rights reserved. Available under Apache 2.0. Foursquare data was transformed to the Overture schema; Overture's attribution records a change on March 18, 2026. AllThePlaces data is available under CC0 1.0.
License copies and the Foursquare notice are included in the source package's licenses folder and discovery ZIP export. Retain applicable licenses and notices when redistributing exported records. The complete current source attribution is at Overture's attribution page.

OpenStreetMap · optional second source
© OpenStreetMap contributors. OpenStreetMap data is available under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0. See copyright and contributor attribution. We normalize selected public business tags into research records; we do not retain mapper identities or import reviews. Snapshot dates describe retrieval, not business verification. No numerical existence-confidence score is supplied by this source.
OpenStreetMap records are kept separate from Overture records, including duplicate-looking businesses. Discovery ZIP exports include normalized OSM source records, attribution and license links. Preserve these notices and comply with ODbL share-alike obligations when using or distributing a derived database. Other source licenses apply separately. Independent profile corrections and private notes are not included in the OSM source-record file; this separation is not a blanket legal determination about every possible combined database.
The operator must configure a dedicated data service. The app does not use a free public community Overpass server as its commercial backend. This source remains unavailable until connected. Export notice.
Public records · cross-checks
Where a scan falls inside a city below, LeadLegWork looks up that city's open business records by ZIP code and matches them to the scanned businesses by phone number, or by name and street number. A match adds evidence to the priority score (an active licence or a recent inspection adds points; a lapsed one subtracts them) and is shown with the record and its dataset. Matches are not independent confirmation and never import contact details. Records are summarized and matched by LeadLegWork; each city provides its data without warranty and may change it at any time.

Scans also check OpenStreetMap for the same business, using the state file for the area, which is downloaded from Geofabrik the first time anyone scans there and refreshed weekly. If OpenStreetMap lists a website, the business is treated as having one and is left out of missing-website scans. Data © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL); extracts by Geofabrik.
Google services
Google Places discovery and customer-supplied Places keys are deferred. Outbound Google research links do not import or verify listings. Optional Google PageSpeed Insights checks analyze a chosen website only and require available operator access. They do not supply business listings or establish reuse rights.
What the signals mean
No website listed: the catalog contains no independent website link. Social or directory only: social or directory links are listed but no independent site. Neither proves a business has no website. Website checks inspect only the returned homepage HTML. Robots blocks and network errors are inconclusive, never proof of a broken website. Source confidence describes place existence, not contact accuracy, current operating status, or willingness to buy.
Contact information
Public contact details are source listings. Review them before outreach. The app does not infer personal email addresses, bypass logins, scrape Instagram, or send messages from the discovery engine.
